Carmans Group launched BLUEBLOCKS on International Earth Day on April 22, 2015. "The most CO2 friendly concrete block is the result of persistent "Blue Technology" vision," says company president Stefan Carmans.

On the occasion of the Cleantech Community Limburg meeting on April 21, a "BLUEBLOCKS" monument was erected at Greenville's building in Houthalen-Helchteren. In the photo (vlnr) Luc Driesen (Greenville), Stefan Carmans, Mayor Alain Yzermans, Yves Liberloo and Etienne Schouterden (Carmans NV)

Yesterday evening (21.04.2015) at Greenville - center of cleantech - in Houthalen, the BLUEBLOCKS range of concrete blocks was officially launched by the symbolic handing over of a first copy to chairman Alain Ysermans and general manager Luc Driesen of Greenville. Made with renewable energy and renewable raw materials, this concrete product is the most CO2 friendly product of its kind, on the market.

BLUEBLOCK

Blueblocks are concrete blocks of the new generation. They have all the qualities of the existing products and more. Not only are they perfectly suited to build storage and transfer areas, partitions and halls, but there is also this: round studs make installation even easier, patented gabions allow the walls to be completed for visual or acoustic reasons and finally our blocks are made with renewable energy and renewable raw materials.

The range includes 4 basic sizes and about 10 elements for various finishes. The largest block measures 160L x 80W x 40H. Its overview is on our site under range.

AMBITION

"We have invested a lot of time and money to create and launch a product like BLUEBLOCKS. Now we have the ambition to bring this product to the top of the list for all public and private investors in storage and transshipment yards, container parks, product bunkers, partitions and halls and the like," says Stefan Carmans, "because this is the most CO2 friendly product on the market and if we want to meet the climate goals, we have to start using this kind of product consistently. Not words, but deeds."
